Ben Jackson

Ben is a Year 13 student at Chenderit School, a keen chess player and a gifted pianist. He passed his Grade 8 examination with distinction in 2010 and is now studying for his Dip ABRSM.

He has a love of Romantic piano music, particularly the works of Chopin.

He is hoping to study Maths at university.

Waltz in C#minor - Chopin

Chopin wrote many waltzes in his life and along with the 'Minute' Waltz in D flat, this is one of the best known.

The piece alternates a gentle waltz theme and a section with an excitingly quick right hand part. In the middle there is a contrasting major interlude.
